Lexi was born on January 14,
2013, the pick of the litter from my Aerial-Johnny litter and the
first beagle I bred myself and showed to conformation and
performance titles.
Lexi did very well in conformation,
quickly catching up to her mother and Huda in titles and
achievements. In addition to earning her AKC Champion and
Grand Champion titles, she has earned her UKC Conformation Champion
and Grand Champion titles, her Canadian Champion title, and her
IABCA National, International, and Honors Champion titles.
She kicked off her UKC career with a bang, taking Best Of Show at
her first UKC weekend in April 2014, and followed up with two UKC
Reserve Best in Shows and an IABCA Reserve Best In Show. She
finished 2014 as the #2 beagle in UKC, tied with her mother and
behind Huda.
Lexi also quickly established herself as
my most consistent performance dog, earning her Rally Novice,
Advanced, and Excellent titles in quick succession. This
encouraged me to try formal obedience, something very few beagles
have the focus to excel in, and Lexi became my first beagle with a
formal obedience title in November 2015, earning her Beginner
Novice title. Lexi also blitzed through her first nine
agility titles (Novice, Open, Excellent, and Master in Standard and
Jumpers plus Novice FAST) and is currently working on her Master
AgilityChampion (MACH) title. She enjoys lure coursing and
easily earned her Coursing Ability Advanced title. Lexi is
not very interested in finding rats but she has completed her Barn
Hunt Open (RATO) title. Finally, Lexi joined her mother to
earn her Novice Working Pack Dog title from the Greater Swiss
Mountain Dog Club of America. In all Lexi has earned 34
titles in 9 different disciplines, 4 registries, and 2 countries
and she still has years of competition ahead of her yet.
Lexi has earned her Canine Good Citizen title/certificate and is also a therapy dog with Therapy Dogs International.
Lexi is co-owned by Helen Hemby of Sureluv
Beagles.
