Gambit is my pick puppy from my
Lexi-Madman Spring 2018 litter. This was my first attempt at
a "dual purpose" litter, with an AKC conformation Grand Champion
dam and an AKC Field Champion sire. Her father was ranked #2
13" beagle in the UBGF for the 2017-2018 field trial season and
placed in the field at both the 2017 UBGF Derby National Run-off
and the 2017 UBGF All-Age National Run-off. Madman's sire was
an AKC National SPO Champion and his grandfather was an AKC
National Gundog Brace Champion and the top prodicing sire in
multiple AKC field federations multiple years running.
Meanwhile, Lexi has several top-producing show champions on her
side, including BIS CH Windkist A Walk In The Park (the father of
UNO, the first beagle to win Best In Show at the Westminster Kennel
Club in 2008). From this impressive pedigree I hoped to
achieve a beagle that could perform respectably in the field as
well as in the show ring, and Gambit now represents that
hope.
Beagle puppies are generally given their
initial assessment for show quality at 8 weeks of age, and at that
point Gambit appeared to be a show quality puppy, giving me high
hopes that she will be able to fulfill the conformation part of her
destiny. She is currently in Virginia learning to run rabbits
in pursuit of the field part.

Sureluv Beagles.
